Would anybody be interrested in writing a plug in which caused planets to have gravity to pull passing craft close in to orbit to make it more realistic.

    • That would require editing the code, which is not available outside Ambrosia.

    • Damn, Well an idea from EV: Nova then!

      Thanks

    • I'll say...Making a plug like that would be very hard. It would help people land their ships, though. 🙂

      I'm sorry. I didn't know you were a pro with coding. 🙂

    • The idea of it is that it would make it harder to control the ship. I have a Cresent War Ship with speed upgrades and it is very easy to control. I think that Gravity would make it more realistic and a lot more fun.

It would make the game more fun. When you say you want the planet's gravity to pull you in, do you mean for the it to pull you to the center of the planet? (That's why I said it would probably make it easier to land)

    • Yes That kind of thing, but about a 20th of the Auto command when you have a planet selected.

The idea is to be able to go in to orbit and also make the game harder.

BTW I have added a link for your site to mine.

Sounds like a good idea. Hope you can get gravity to work... 🙂

Thanks for posting a link to my website on your site. I'm getting traffic, but more traffic never hurts. 🙂 Thanks!

It would make sense to have larger planets have a stronger gravitational pull. i.e., Paaren, a huge planet will suck you in more than Knox, a smaller one. Space stations would need to have almost no gravitational pull. Sounds like a big job.
