    • It was much easier to play the Star Wars plugin, and not use the Monty Python. The problem was, the Star Destroyers carried so many of the blasted TIE fighters that it took forever to eliminate them. But they wre very easy to destroy. I really liked the TIE interceptors...For some reason, I never had the heart to destroy them. 🙂
Yes, hanging around a Star Destroyer was dangerous business. All those rediculous amounts of turrets would eat any ship alive. I gave those vessels some respect. 🙂
I like your idea with destroying fighters. Usually I take out the head fighter, not the rear one.

yes those blasted TIE's took forever to eliminate especially if you had to keep from being eaten alive by the 50 or so turbolaser turrets, but there's a solution to that. Remember, if the TIE's AND the ISD are attacking you, and you're in the ISD's gun range, then make the TIE's go into the ISD's wave of turbolaser fire. its much like the targeting the furthest ship back, except you're not the one firing, the ISD is and its blasts will destroy its own TIEs trying to kill you, and if you have really good shields, you'll be able to take the fire from the TIE's and live at least till the ISD has killed them all trying to kill you. The key is to use the TIE's as a barrier between you and the ISD's turbolaser fire. 😄 😄 😄 Boy its fun to see a ship kill its own fighters. 😄

Haha! Good one! I've never tried doing that before...Whenever I got around those Star Destroyers, those turbolasers unleashed an ugly array of green beams. I never even considered running the persuing TIE fighters into that same fire, though. Knowing how easy it is to destroy a TIE fighter, I'm sure it's easy to eleminate a good three/four fighters every time you make a pass. I'm going to try that one sometime. 🙂 By the way, which Star Wars plugin are you talking about? The one for Override? Because that one has terrible weapon's bugs on my machine...

I'm talking about the Star Wars: Special Edition plug-in for the original EV. It came out a while before SW 1.0.2 and SW 1.0.3 (the latter of which was never finished and is why so many people have been haveing problems with it. . . trust me, I was following the development of 1.0.3, and then they dropped it due to lack of interest and time, ahh well . . . ). In the Special edition, most of the ships were scaled to each other, as a result the A-Wing was tiny, and also a cool feature was that of having TWO laser blasts fire instead of one (now everybody knows how to do it, but it was revolutionary back then)! This was about the same time as the plug "Parallel Universe" and when EV-Edit was new. Basically it was late last century, about 1997. yeah, it was '97 because that's when the Star Wars: Special Edition movies came out in theaters, and it was a year after EV's first release. It was a much nicer plug than the original Star Wars one. About this time was the mentionings of a Star Trek TC plug, and it took FOREVER and they finally canceled it, leaving it in the Beta stages. :frown: But I hope that tells you how old that plug was. The funny thing was that it was one of the first TC's where TC didn't mean changing the systems around, the systems stayed where they were, the missions, sort of changed, the ships and outfits did as well. Like in the SW: Special Edition, the rebel base was were Palshife was! Man, I like remembering the old days. 😄

Wow! The plug sounds awesome...Can you still get the Star Wars Special Edition from the downloads page? I want to get it. Some of those features you mentioned sounded very good. 🙂

I'm not sure if you can, but if you can, it would be in the EV add ons page, not the EVO's, but if you want to use it in EV, I think that the EV to EVO converter that comes with The Frozen Heart does. I look and see if the SW:SE plug is available. 😄

Ok, thanks. If you can't find it, do you think you could send me a copy of the Star Wars Special Edition?

Most people scoff at the humble blaze cannon because of its limited range, but if you use blaze guns against kraits and the like, they are knocked back when hit. Continually retargeting and shooting will hold the pack off quite nicely - and kill more than a few of them. If you have a secondary weapon such as a repulsor beam or a plasma siphon, it's like shooting hobbits in a barrel.

I usually use blaze cannons when I don't have phase weapons yet. Yes, the blaze cannons are excellent, and their range isn't that bad. I do like the fact that you can knock back ships...With about three or for blaze cannons, you can even knock the Helians away from you.

Well, I looked last night and found that I had made a tiny mistake (I think). I ran across a Star Wars-ANA plug, now its a several mb file, but that might be the one. Oh yeah, it is the one and there's a Special Edition extra plug that came out soon after (around the release of the Special Edition Movies). The Special Edition is an add on to the SW-ANA plug that adds ships like some Hutt ships and some others which I can't remember off the bat. You can find the regular SW-ANA plug in the EV add ons page in the EV site. Oh, and also what I found is that there are still people making stuff for the original EV even today, but the SW-ANA is easily found by looking through the plug-in files there. I'm not sure about the Special Edition add on plug, but I do know that there is one (just keep looking through the files, it should be there some where). 😄

      Cheers,
