It's just not the same without Hector flying past from time to time... is there a plug that put him back in the game as a pers? It'd be cool to see him zooming around in his little blue Helian... Preferably one that I can shoot to pieces. (That &^Ł$# owes me about 2 million credits.)

I suspect this has already been done... it seems so obvious.

I don't believe there is a plug, since so many people register EVO because they are so sick of the annoying and greedy scum. It was good thinking on Ambrosia's part to put in Hector, to ensure no pirating. As far as a plugin for a peaceful Captain Hector, though, I haven't seen one, atleast up to date.

Well, I geuss you could make a Captain Hector pers, but we wouldn't appear not nearly as much as he usually does, unless you make something like 100 Captain Hector pers.

I would LOVE to take revenge on Hector, he has taken more than 20 million credits at one time! How is it determined how much he takes anyway? Is it a percentage? Or is it a value that grows with time

You're right. Cap'n Hector was not there to keep people from stealing the game engine, he was there to annoy you into paying for the game, by reminding you, then after a while shooting you (in that unkillable ship of his, curse it t all the hells there ever were), and every now and again, stealing credits from you. I almost had enough to buy a U.E. Carrier once, and when I launched with my last cargo run before I bought it, Hector struck and stole 1 million from me.
