If the randomly-chosen banner at the top of the screen hasn't yet told you, there's an amnesty on this week. Basically, you can register any of a number of Ambrosia games (and utilities) for $10 each. I think this is a great idea. Well done Ambrosia... I hope it works out well for you.

I would have taken advantage of this offer to register Ares, but I always thought the game control method sucked. And I would have registered Bubble Trouble, but I found it unoriginal. Nice graphics and sounds though. That's the great thing about shareware: You get to try something and if you don't like it, you don't pay. You can't do that with the latest Microprose or MacSoft offering, can you?

It's a great offer. No more excuses for getting hassled by the mutant space-parrot bank robber in the souped-up Helian...

Why don't you send an e-mail to register@ambrosiasw.com and explain your problem (no credit card--in France)? I bet you could work something out--send an international money order through the mail or something.

Only problem with IMOs is that what you'd save on the registering fee at the moment, you'd spend on the fee for the IMO from Europe..... Doesn't really help, does it? If this Internet stuff is supposed to be soooo beautifully international, why can't they work out a truly international system to pay, so that banks don't eat good part of that money, just as in the goode olden dayes???
