Good point about the whole new words thing.

Often when someone tries to hate on Voinians, they call them the Vikimadegies(sp?) or some other crazy crap. This is a new word. If you want to misspell Voinian, Vonian will work well, as will Voinan or Voinin, or some other thing where you omit one letter, or replace a letter with one similar to it (e.g. replace "i" with "y"). Replacing a "V" with a "Q" makes a new word. However, please spell Voinian correctly. Don't hate on Voinians.

P.S.: On another subject related to spelling, i just want to quickly say please spell arada and azdara right. it gets hard to tell which one people are talking about.

And I actually might start a new pilot file working for the Voinians <gasp>, since I'm starting all over in EVO. If you're an old fart and are getting bored, you should try ditching all your old pilots and try it. I just got an Arada for one of my pilots and I'm having a lot of fun getting revenge on all those renegades that bullied me as a shuttle/transporter/UE Fighter.

Who would have thought this thread would get so long? Wow, there certainly are a few strong opinions out there. Personally, I don't think it's possible to judge which side in the Voinian/Human war is the best, because it's clear that they have fought each other to a stalemate. Sure, one side or the other suffers some major defeats, but only because the player chooses to intercede to help his favourite side.

One reason why neither government is ever completely eliminated is because it would massively change the character of the game. Imagine the whole of Voinian space in Human, Emalghan and Hinwari hands... there would be no more frigates, cruisers and the rest. It would be silly if the ships continued to appear after their bases were taken over, and the alternative would be some very empty or very friendly regions. Having nothing left to fight wouldn't be much fun in a space combat game. I like it the way it is.
