Heh-heh. Ever had one of those EV:O moments that is so bizzare that it's... Well... Bizzare? This is the place to share them!
Such as this one:

"I remember when I played EV:O in a store on a brand-spanking-new iMac. Obviously, the game wasn't registered, as Captain Hector flew across and 'buzzed' me on several occasions. Well, one time, a huge UE vs Voinian battle in the middle of Voinian space. And there I was, in my shuttlecraft, trying to get the goods to the station (I think it was on Pax). So there I was, neutron- and blaze-fire all around! The UE carriers and the Voinian Cruisers clashed! Explosions everywhere! And then... Through the smoke of battle... Emerged the angel from the shareware registry department... Captain Hector says: 'Don't forget to pay your registration fee to register EV Override!' "

If only Captain Hector could be hit by normal weapons, instead of just Dispersal Rockets and Space Mines. Then, just fly into an intense battle scene with rocks and weapons fire flying everywhere, wait until that annoying parrot flies into the fray, and see Hector go bye-bye.

I think I remember the first released version of Escape Velocity, you could kill Hector, but he'd just reincarnate and bug you again, so you'd kill him again, come back, kill, comeback, kill, and so on. Sigh...the battle never ends. Then they made Hector invulnerable, d'oh!
