I personally think asking stuff about how to beat missions and such is great. But the thing that kinda peeves me is questions like "How do I stop my escorts" and such. All that is answered in the EVO documentation! It would be much easier if people actually read it.

    • Jude has a point also. It is traditional not to read the documentation/readme files (I think)

    • I agree with Catacomb, the Newbies should read the manual before asking questions on the board.

I knew you were kidding. I read the documentation, but only sometimes.

    • I agree that people asking about missions is really cool.. and I don't really have a problem with them asking trivial things - it's always nice to be able to help, even better when you can do it straight off the top of your head. And of course, actually reading the readmes is more like a last resort :).

      ------------------

    • I agree with Catacomb. Newbies read the manual. But I agree with jude as well. Oldbies should just play the game. Without cheating.

      Until next time.

And Jude I actually read the rulebooks for games over and over when I am bored. They can be quite neat.

    • Some rulebooks are very confusing, the ambrosia is pretty straightforward though, it only takes like 5 min. to reaad it

Especially if the writer has a good sense of humour. 🙂

I usually consult the manual of a game if I forget something, see if there is an easier way to do something, etc. The answer is almost always there.

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you first tried.

    • I read 'readme' files if I think they'll contain something I need to know. I don't think I'd want to read seventeen pages of instructions before my first game of 'Pac Man' though...

The documentation I never, ever read is the things that come up when you're installing new software. The ones that start "By installing this software you agree to blah blah blah..." Where clicking 'accept' is the only choice unless you like wasting half an hour downloading things from the Internet that you never use.

Does anybody ever read those things? What have I been agreeing to all these years? I've probably signed away my liberty, my furniture, my first-born son, and my Igazra. Oh well... you've got to laugh, haven't you?
