I heard of your attack on my fleet, and what did it accomplish? Anyway, I can't wait for kiwi_a2. I send my fleet of 6 Frigates, 4 cruisers, and 1 dreadnaught to First Centuri. Since most of the UE fleet is gathered for the swass offensive, there is only a minimal defense of a few fighters and a destroyer. They are destroyed easily, The voinian ships drop their nukes on First Centauri, then retreat back to voinian space.

UE losses:
one destroyer
4 fighters
the main food source for earth
50,000 civilians
The planet is still radioactive, so the planet is uninhabitable for 75 years

The raid just destroyed a few supply ships and Frigates, thas all. No big deal.

CONTINUATION: The UE Fleet mounts a full-scale assault on Avann and Vorik. The Voinian defenses are thick, but in the end the Voinian defense forces are no match for the firepower of the many UE Cruisers. After heavy losses on both sides the UE manage to destroy the Avann Outpost and capture the Ylynn Outpost. After this costly victory, the UE redistributes its ships along the new frontier to defend against Voinian counterattacks.

Similar shipments from New Prussia and Huron (still under UE control) are also being made.

Ok kiwi_a2- you said i can't reverse engineer the Azdaras- then i am open to suggestions on how to make my fighters more maneuverable. Also, i am still waiting on the shield regen.s! Hmmm ok.

REDchigh puts 1M to start researching rocket turrets and launchers. I also build a shipyard in orbit around Emalgha.

REDchigh gets in a frigate and pilots it up to miranu space. He goes to an ampty system, and waits for a MH freightor. Finally a fleet warps in, REDchigh disables them easily, and captures the MH freighter, and plunders alll the cargo he can carry. He goes back to his space, and studies the Defense pod. He figures out that it has contact with the parent ships' shields, so he gets all of his best engineers to upgrade space mines to behave like defense pods. REDchigh sets 500,000 for research.

The Vionions and the UE are at war once again, and we must be very carefull around that region of space. The Vionians attacked an important food source of earth, with our advanced frieghters we could transport large amounts of food to earth, for a price of course.
I have also recieved news that one or more Vionian ships attacked a Miranu freighter in empty space. The disrtess signal was picked up by one of listing posts designed to listen for communitcation of other races before we established first contact. Upon examining the debris, it was found that the ships self-destruct was initiated. We found no traces of cargo, meaning it was stolen. Worse, there was no evidence that the ship was able to use its defence pods (they leave large amounts of radiation), meaning that they too were stolen.
A Vionian pirate (if there is such a thing) wouldn't of bothered with pods, as they and their launchers are only avaible in Miranu space, and would be useless. IF this attack was initiated by the Vionian Gov. then they may plan to reverse engineer the pods. Although the pods are supossed to blow up if tamperd with, it is possible they may find a way around that with the number of pods we lost. While the launcher was found in the debris, they may have acess to another.
Vionian or renagade, I now have permenant posts of ships patroling the systems in which Miranu ships fly, each installed with more sensative counter measures in the case of boarding.
While it probably wont come to war, the Vionians have taken Emalgha space, and are now attacking the UE, I sugest we devlop a crescent warship to be able to deal with large amounts of armor, so as to deter a possible Vionian attack on our space.

After arriving at Earth, Daedalus had exchanged his scoutship for a UE fighter and retrieved a large silver suitcase from storage. Now daedalus was in an uninhabited system waiting. The moment he was waiting for came when a Voinian interceptor entered the system. Daedalus immediately engaged. The interceptor went straight for Daedalus and fired rockets whenever given the chance. The UE fighter was agile though, and daedalus avoided the rockets and took only quick shots at the interceptor. Soon the interceptor was out of rockets and Daedalus engaged with his own. Slipping in behind the interceptor, Daedalus fire 2 rockets easily disabling the ship. Arming doning his warsuit and a pair of twin blasters, daedalus entered the lock of the voinian ship. When the lock opened, 2 voinians fired but no one was in the lock. They looked at eachother confused and slowly crept in together. From above daedalus fell in behind them, shooting each one in the head before they could react. Retrieving his suitcase and some supplies and a translator from his ship, daedalus transferred to the Voinian interceptor. Daedalus also brought his neutron sniper rifle.
After disengaging from his fighter, deadalus fired on it till it was destroyed. Then, opening his suitcase he flipped a switch. Out from the suitcase unfolded a skeletal frame. Once fully extended, the frame disappeared under the shape of a voinian. The holo Voinian sat down in the pilots seat as daedalus took the co pilot seat. The interceptor then headed for Voinia.

Titan's engginers make the plasma cannon and turret. The plasma cannon is extremmly good verse armor and it about as good as a blaze cannon againts shields.

As the U.E.S. Steadfast is passing through the First Centauri system, it comes upon the Voinian Dreadnought used in the attack on First Centauri. With the help of his escorts and the firepower of the U.E.S. Steadfast, the Dreadnought is eventually disabled. Samurai loses two of his UE Destroyer escorts and 4 Fighters in the process. Samurai radios for squads of UE Marines to come and help subdue the Dreadnought's crew. The Highly trained marines on board the U.E.S. Steadfast board the Dreadnought and attempt to capture it. They seize the control room and manually override the self-destruct sequence. However, the Voinian crew is so immense that the UE Marines start taking casualties. Reinforcements arrive in the nick of time and the Dreadnought is escorted back to Sol.

REDchigh notices that armor upgrades don't accomplish as much as they should, so he watches it being installed on a ship, and he immediatly finds the problem- when u get an upgrade, it is attached to the hull with bolts. REDchigh has his engineers to smelt the ore, then mold it onto the ship, and it works a lot better because there is no air between layers, and it attaches onto the ship better. This method increases Dospect by 20 and bronev by 45 points, but it takes a day to complete. REDchigh puts 1.2M to start upgrading all frigates and cruisers with one layer of dospect and bronev, and upgrades his Dreadnoughts with 2 layers of bronev. He also adds RCS, thrust, and engine upgrades to his frigates and fighters. Now, his cruisers are just a little slower than the UE carrier, frigates' maneuverability is the same as a destroyer, the heavy fighter is a little slower than a UE fighter, and the interceptor is faster than a UE fighter.
The bays will be finished in 5 posts- the H. fighter bays will hold 10, and the interceptor bays on the dreadnoughts will hold 10 more.

The dreadnoughts were taken back to Voinian space. They aren't in First centuri anymore.

REDchigh gets the phase turrets off of the MH freighter, copies them and makes a new energy weopon- the Borb turret. It is basically an Emalgha turret, upgraded for all directions, crossed with a phase turret. Each Emalgha shot is covered with a phase cell, so it does massive damage to shields and armor. I also put another million to studying the defense pods.

The Iothean engineers arive with their design- it looks a bit like the turncoat, except with 5 blaze turrets, hunter missiles as well as needle missiles, and a bay for the new fighter (the Viper)- essentially a beefed up krait with an extra blaze cannon, needle missiles, and faster shield generation (it can carry three) The new warship (called the Dragon) is slightly stronger than a UE destroyer. As the money to build these ship will come from the renegade shipyards and not directly from Entropy's coffers, it will only require two million credits to begin production. It will be ready for release in two days real time, and will add a +.1 million per day. The fighter will be ready in one day realtime, and will add a +.05 million a day. In addaition, a combined force of the new Dragon, Turncoats, ST Crescent warships, (which have just been outfitted with phased beams for .05 million credits,) Laziras, and Aradas are mounting a full-scale assault on Kayia in two days realtime.

While i do not speak for the miranu, i can say that the Zachit would welcome an allaince with the UE, especially with the hightend Vionian navy pressence.
I would like to ask if your Gov would be interested in exchanging some military technology.
I could provide you with our phase cannons, our shielding technology, and possibly more if you would teach us about your armour, and any weapons that cause armour damage.
I am not willing to start a war unless its nescesary, and as of now we have no concrete evedince that the Vionians are plotting against us. As we provide the majoraty of resources to the cresent, one or more of the strands may come to our aid if our territory is threatend, but no sooner.
I would also think an excange in information would be usefull, to keep us both updated on the Vionian problem

CONTINUATION: Back at Sol, human engineers are studying the dreadnought's armor formations and hull plating, when a junior scientist stands up. "This looks like it is manufactured from plain old iron ore, just formed using a clever overlapping form that helps to absorb shocks. If we could duplicate this armor form it would be of subsantial importance to the navy." A senior researcher stands up. "But in order to make the iron ore this dense, we would need a device capable of exerting an insane amount of force. I wonder how the Voinians do it."
