Most of the ships in EVO have understandable names- UE destroyer, Miranu freighter, Voinian Intercepter, etc. And some with suspious names make sense if you look them up, i.e. Kraits are a type of highly poisonous snake, and turncoat means traitor. But what do Arada, Helian, and Lazira mean? Does lazira have some connection with the christian Saint Lazarus, who came back from the dead but wouldn't tell anybody what it was like? I just don't know.

A Krait is a species of highly dangerous and deadly sea snakes. I heard that Argosey (sp?), from EV, means something like a cargo ship, and a Rapier (also in EV) is a sword. I just looked up Turncoat, and the definition says 'One who traitorously switches allegiance'. None of the other words match, and I don't think Lazira has anything to do with Lazurus. I looked up Arada and Azdara, and the closest word that I could find was 'Adar' the sixth month in the Jewish callender.

I think you're thinking of the word hellion. The name Helian could be an adjective formed from Helios (the sun god in Greek mythology).
