Hey... does anyone ever play the original EV anymore? I never actually finished it, but when I played it I usually sided with the Rebellion. Or Pirates. That's fun. Never with the Confederates, they *********

Yes, there is a whole board for that, on the forum links it is the one just above this one.

Actually, I like EV better.
EVO has a much better engine though.

No one ever sides with the Confeds. They're just plain boring, stupid, and weak. Rebels are much better, and so are Pirates (though Rebels are the best). EV is good for beginners. Once you've played EV, you want to go onto bigger and better things, like EVO. EV is fun in its own way, and EVO is fun in its own way. They both have good and bad points. It depends on the player.

What i don't get is, if no one sided w/ the confeds/ why does everyone side with UE?
same principles, same main idea, same ***** *** factor. UE ships are weaker than strand or upper-class voinian, whats the difference?

I think it's that they have a better cause than the Confeds. I mean everyone can understand that people would get ********* with all the governing rules, etc. and rebel against it, but it's somewhat harder to sympathize with the Voinians when their only cause is pointless destruction, or something :).
I'm currently doing EV original again and trying to go Confed for once, but they make it really hard apart from anything else - confed systems turn against you so easily! But it is more fun than EVO for me at the moment because EV actually has sound when using Executor on PC but EVO doesn't.. plus EV crashes less that way.

actually though I did the opposite and sided with the renegades in EVO and Confeds in EV I still hate the confeds too though actually I hate most sides except pirate and renegades.
