Has anyone ever noticed how the Igadzra pers. (ex. I.S.S Incomunicado) have a mysterious green beam? It's not a Tractor beam, not a Repulsor beam, not a Phased beamer, and not a Plasma Siphon. So... what is it? I've never seen it sold anywhere, its not on any other ships, its not on any other Igazras except for the Igadzra pers. I can't tell what it does so... WHAT IS IT!!!

Its a special beam thats related to the zidagar/igadzra conflict. You can never buy it, and if you try to capture the ship that has it and use it as your own, you lose it if you enter any outfitters after that, I think. The best way to use it is to capture the ship that has it and use it as one of your escorts...its the closest you will get to actually having one of your own, unless you want to clunk about in an un-upgraded Igadzra.

It's the Igadzra beam, which you can never get, and only see either on the përs that has it, or while you're doing some Zidagar mission. Don't worry about it, it's a piece of crap. The regular 5 Phase Turrets are MUCH MUCH MUCH more powerful than that beam, which is very inaccurate.

In EVO 1.0.1 it stinks, anyone can take it out. However, in EVO 1.0.2, all beams hit, and the Igadzra beam is much more dangerous.

Oh right.... :rolleyes: I only recently upgraded to 1.0.2 and I actually haven't played it much at all, and since I can't use my old pilot files, I haven't seen any Igadzra beams lately. Although I believe it, since in the notes that came with it, it said that they fixed the "crooked beam" bug. Good thing, too — my phased beams sucked big time.

Nope; I captured that përs in one of my pilot files, and it kept the beam. That may have been a bug that was eliminated in 1.0.2, since I got that escort in 1.0.1. Ah, whatever, I'm sure I got an escort with an Igadzra beam at some point...

Actually, that përs may actually have an entirely different ship — maybe there's a Modified Igadzra shďp. There probably is, because there's fleets of those ships in the Zidagar missions. I'm too lazy to check, though.

If you set the inaccuracy to 1 for the Igadzra beam and the Zidagar beams in 1.0.1 they work correctly. FYI only.

Why are there no maroon ships?

I think it causes damage and acts as a tractor beam at the same time. And there is a plug buried somewhere in the EVO addons page that allows you to buy the beam if you work for the Igdzari long enough.

there's a cheaters plug that lets you but all outfits and ships. the only was to get that beam is to buy a special kind of Izgrada. I thought the beam was cool.
