    • why is ROTUE so big?!

      UE Patriot, some of us cough, cough, me arent able to download a 9.49 meg file. Isn't there any way to downsize it?

      Set it to download at night.
      Or, if UE Patriot lets me, i could use Res-Edit to slice out the music which makes it so large.

      For those who have neither the time nor the modem capacity to download that big a file, could you remove the music and have a "data-only" file? Also, was the file stuffed at all? 9 megs stuffed would be an enormous size unstuffed, at least in terms of plug-ins anyway. F-25 is currently at 16 megs unstuffed, and it more likely contains more graphics and data.

      I just put a music-less version of "Reign of the UE" onto the EVO addons page. Don't know when it will be out, though. Guess what? The music-less ROTUE folder (with both regular and MAGMA versions) is only 2 MB! 🙂 Also, I put the Reign of the UE descs et al through EV Text so all the spelling error and stuff should be gone. Hope this helps. 🙂

      I don't know either. When you figure it out, let me know. It's actually just documentation I was originally doing as a document when andrew offered to put it up there. I was working on it until I got the foolish idea to write F-25 2.0.

      Sadly, there is no mission for you taking over Borb Station. Admiral McPherson does lead a battalion of marines which take it over during the Battle of Voinia, though. 🙂

      UE, what settings did you use when you converted the intro? I was able to get the same sound (Captain Apple's March) down to 1Mb. Did you set the rate down to 11127Hz? That's all EV/O supports, so any higher is wasted space.
