    • Shouldnt there be evo with multiplayer capabilities??

      ONce i had a great idea for evo. It would be like blizzards battle.net except for when you log on your account you start thew game right away. You play with everyin else whos online. You could fight eachother or make a ransom for not killing them, etc. You could be a bounty hunter and get missions to kill people who are just killing every one else if u have any great ideas for an EVO multiplayer please reply..........

      No. There never will be an EVMP. Ambrosia has said so MANY, MANY, MANY times.

      You're not the first one to think of this either. About 2000 or so had the same idea before you. Its not gonna happen.

      Like Walnut, said sounds like a great idea! I'll go download the source code for EV, add a few modifications, dedicate my mainframe as a server and release EVMP in about a week or so.

      EVO is not built to be a multiplayer game... It will be hellish to try and change it.

      But if you insist on trying, knock yourself dead, which you'll probably do.

      You're absolutely right. The point of my starting that topic on which I listed all the things that would have to be done was to show everyone that trying to make EV or EVO a multi-player game is completely impossible.

      I have some time this weekend, so once I finish writing the 5,000 missions, plus rendering each of the 1200 ships, I might have time to add multiplayer.
