      What is substance E in Frozen Heart?

      It slows down your turn rating when you buy it, but does it do anything positive?

      Conclusion: Substance E has no beneficial ability. Because FH was written before EVO v1.0.2, it does not take advantage of the Mod Type/Val 2 fields. It only lowers turn rate.

      PS: It lowers turn rate because it is, according to the description, an illegal, addictive drug. Theoretically, if you were high on it, it would affect your reflexes, which would reflect on your ships turning.

      I continue to be amazed by the number of people who take it.

      BTW, EVO 1.0.2 offers many, many more opportunities for players who refuse to believe the warnings to shoot themselves in the feet.

      Watch out for FH 2, assuming I finish it before EVN is out.

      funny that substance E in EVO bears an uncanny resemblance to substance E in real life. both in negative effects and the number of people duped into using it.

      I always wondered what Substance E was...

      ...But I actually heed warnings, and I never got around to looking at it in ResEdit. I fugured it effected either speed or turning rate.

      And if you really want people that don't heed warnings to (literally) shoot themselves in the feet, you could make Substance E a weapon with ammotype -999(thier ship is blown up as soon as they try to shoot something, I think).
