The only time a suicide pod, a.k.a. the Krait, is ever dangerous is when in huge swarms!! But even then phase turrents rip em up!

arrrgh! i should rename myself defender of the krait. i, too, once thought they existed solely to annoy me when starting out in my shuttle. but the day i learned that planet defense fleets don't attack your escorts or fighters, that all changed. for a paltry 3k credits per day, as well as a krait fighter bay in my c. warship (not my favorite ship, but i have fun by also loading it with a c. fighter bay), i can dominate a planet in less than 15 minutes.

of course, then the bounty hunters came. not that i fear them, but every time i kill them the local govt gets mad at me--making it hard to do the missions.

You have to give it to the Krait pilot - if you're almost completely broke and you desperatly need escorts - he's your man. Otherwise, Alien's description is very suitable.
