      I just got portal and traveled to the little island on the map(which I am guessing is Reef's Island). But I hear that it is only accessible if you get the guy w/ the ship to take you there. Is this going to create a problem for me later on?

      No, it shouldn't. The ony problem would be if you ran out of mana (which actually might not be a problem, now that I think of it. The guy may be there no matter what). So go ahead and have fun on reef island. However, I think that you still have to do the quest anyway.

      I hope you have saved a game before you made the jump. Capt. Juliar may be there to get you back, but I won't guarantee it. I have used Portal to leave the island, but that was after I did the quest which puts the ship in use. Post back with the results of your experiment, because you are breaking the normal chain of events. ~RD
