    • Zidara stats changed?

      I recently upgraded from 1.0 to 1.0.2,and per the Readme (yeah, I actually read it) pulled everything from the upgrade over to the EVO folder started a new pilot. Eventually I worked up to my old favorite ship, the Zidara. THEN I looked at its stats! Last I checked, the cargo space was 40 tons, with 30 tons of weapons space. NOW the cargo space is 15!!

      Worse, now the Lazira (my second choice) now has more space in weapons and cargo space. Did I do something wrong, or does everyone else have these stats for the ship?

      search? you mean, do a search through the FAQs and EVO web boards, with the search terms Zidagar, Zidara? Gee, never thought to do THAT...

      Sarcasm aside, I wonder why this was changed? As it stands now, Phased Beam and Zidagar Fighters aside--never cared for either--there are relatively few advantages to using a Zidara over a Lazira; what I liked about the former ship was its balance of firepower and maneuverability.

      Well I like that the Phased beam actually works in 1.0.2. And Titan that is Flatty's job.

      WhatEVer (or WhatEVOer).

      Basically, all I wanted to know was if I'd done something wrong in the upgrade to adversely affect the Zidara stats. I'm guessing from the snide search comments that I've not.

      Next question, mostly rhetorical: Why in the world would the developer's change those stats? For what you get, you might as well stick with a maxed out Lazira!

      No...you didn't do anything wrong...

      The stats were probably changed, either intentionally or unintentionally...who knows...

      well-per, consider it closed topic then. I went ahead and (with EVEdit) modified the Zidara back to its original stats.

      I have a question. What version of EVO are the websites like celtic starbase refering to? I checked my res edit because I was home and it had some big changes in stats. I am using version 1.0.1. I hope celtic starbase replies since it is his website.

      I'm sure this has been talked about a lot before, but is the only major difference in 1.0.2 the bug fixes?

      (oh and Titan stop telling people to search then ask-especially when the questions haven't been asked before)

      Titan, I understand your frustration. When I was on the old EVO board, and watched it religiously to the exclusion to all other life activities (exaggeration, but too close), I too was annoyed when people asked questions that were obvious or had been covered before.

      HOWEVER, it is the nature of things for this to happen, so deal with it. What is old to you is new to others. Me, I enjoy EVO, but it is not my world. You could take a fine example from some of the other, more mature members of the board, and either ignore the repeated question (venting your annoyance in private), or actually HELP the person, rather than post a snotty (I'd say snerty, but I don't know you; your responses fit the pattern, though) reply.

      Finally, would a moderator or above please close this topic? It's run its course, and is straying away from its original question.
