    • Help on Conjurer

I have three questions. 1) Is there any other walkthrough besides Stark's on how to get into the Tower of Magi? I read it and didn't really understand what he was saying(no offense it's a great walkthrough). 2) For the banker plug-in, in Fatrima there is no banker, and I can't find the Mage shop, either. 3) My mana will not regenarate, even when I go to the inn. The plug-ins I have are: Trinity, Bankers Guild, and Spells Expander. I have OS 10.2.1 and I have the latest version of POG. Can someone please help me?

Hi Musicman, Welcome to the boards. 1) There is no other walkthrough, nobody else has the desire to put in the enormous effort to compile such a work, and while it is Stark's baby, there have been several contributors. Let's just address the Mage tower for now. Once you are in the front door, you will have to solve four puzzles to reach the top of the tower where all the goodies can be found. The first three puzzles involve making discs on the floor "light up" to match a pattern shown in the alcove. (I'm responsible for the diagram which shows which discs are affected each time you step on one.) The discs to step on are given in the walkthrough. The fourth puzzle is a clock face with a vertical and horizontal passageway. The vertical direction affects the hour hand of the clockface in the center, and the horizontal passageway changes the minute hand. My suggestion is to ignore to description in the walkthrough on this one and just play around with it until you get the clock in the middle to read 1:15. After you solve each puzzle, go to the alcove at the top of the screen and you will be taken to the next higher level.

      1. There is no bank, the banker wanders near the fountain in the center of town. He is wearing a red and cream colored tunic. The mage in Fantrima also does not have a "shop", he just does business from the folds in his robe. He can be found in the southeast part of town stooped over a bit and wearing dark clothes.

      2. I'm sorry I don't know why Annabellor doesn't leave you fully refreshed after a night in the Inn. I have not ever seen that problem mentioned before.

I hope this has been of some help, please post back if you need further clarification. Good luck with your game. ~RD

The reason is that Annabellor is from the original PoG back before there was a conjurer class, and thus a need to have magic recharged.

Unfortunately, I believe this was an oversight when Trinity was released not to update the inn to refresh magic as well as health.

You can purchase magic potions which refresh your magic in the tower and from the wandering salesman found 2 screens north of Fantrima as well as 1 screen west of Gwyden Camp.

In Spells Expander there is an item you may find that will regenerate your magic slowly. Additionally you can download a plug-in titled "Regenify" that adds the innate ability for a conjurer to regenerate magic points.

      Mr. Musicman597,

No offense taken. Once you figure out the trick to getting into the tower, if you think you can explain it a bit easier feel free to write something up and e-mail it to me(just click the email button above my post). I'm always looking at ways to improve the walkthrough.

But Stark, the Inn in Fantrima restores both health and magic points. The only places that don't restore magic points are Gen. Decimus's tent, and the nice lady in Berglum. ~RD

      Mr. Musicman597,

Alrighty. Do you understand what you are supposed to be doing?

When you step on a teleporter and go to a room with a puzzle, you are needing to light up the "buttons" in the main room so that they look like the mini-map in the northern portion.

Ie, the first mini-map shows all the "buttons" lit up. So your purpose in the first puzzle is to walk across the buttons in the main room in such a way as to get them all to light up. When you get them all lit then step on the mini-map and you will be teleported to the 2nd puzzle.

The first three puzzles are like this. Look at the mini-map and then make the buttons light up to look like the mini-map.

The last puzzle is similar, but with a clock. The mini-map displays a clock showing the time 1:15. Your job is to walk through the clock in the center of the room until you get the clock to display 1:15 like the mini-map. When this is done you will be able to walk onto the mini-map and be teleported to the top of the tower and you will have beaten the tower puzzles.

Let us know if there is something that you don't understand and we'll try to give you some additional aid.

    • The mages tower is a big pain. Heres what to do. Get a piece of paper and write this on it (exactly as shown):
      7 8 9
      4 5 6
      1 2 3
This is your key. Now, look at Stark's walkthrough. When it says step on 7, you step on the tile that corresponds to your key. Be very careful to only step on the tile once (sometimes you will think you only stepped on a tile once, but PoG may step on it twice for you. If it does, just step on it again), and to not step on any other tiles. Also make sure you do it in order. As for the clock: i couldn't do it with the walkthrough, so i just sat down and figured it out. It takes about 5 minutes. I hope this helps.

      **

The nine buttons on the floor can be thought of as the nine didgits on a numeric keypad. The number "1" is in the lower left, "3" is the lower right, "5" is the middle, and so on. When you enter the room, 7, 5, 2 are "lit" which means they have a pale red color. When they are not "lit" they are gray. Every time you step on (or walk across) a disc (button) several are affected. For example, stepping on "1" changes the status of 1, 2, and 4, stepping on "2" changes 1, 2, 3, and 5. When the pattern matches the pattern in the alcove, there is a rotational sparkle in the alcove which shows you got it. (And you will.)

I'm more concerned about missing characters and the Inn not working. What's the status now? I just noticed that Stark Bledfast snuck in a reply while I was typing this (he beat me to the punch 'cause I'm a slow typist) so you have the attention of us both. Rest assured you are not the first with tower problems. If you do a search on this topic you'll find that I was once crying for help too.

Make that the four of us particularly if the banker is still not showing up (since it's my plugin).

On a side note, Bankers 1.1 should be released soon with the updated algorithm. Sorry it's been so long in coming but I've been busy with other stuff including a large plugin for Rangers.

Well, he posted back saying to ignore his post that said the banker wasn't loading. I expect that it was something simple like he unchecked the plug-in in the loading screen or something.
