You can't say the UE Cruser is tougher than the dreadnaught because 20 of them can take out a dreadnaught. There is no single ship in the entire game (except maybe an Adzari Enhanced arada) that can take out the Dreadnaught alone AI on AI.

that përs Azdara (pretty much an enhanced Azdara) would eventually win in a battle with a 'naught.... It'd take forever, but still.... however, maybe one of those rockets from the 'naught could kill the Azdara in one shot... but, if not, the Azdara would win.

I have flown both the Dreadnaught and the Arada... man... that would take FOREVER.
@ any rate... the Dreadnaught is strong, but its not that strong. In normal combat its fine, but when u are demanding tribute, the damage adds up, especially against interceptors and heavy fighters. they almost always get 1 rocket hit before they die... I like the arada more.
When demanding tribute, it does help to have fast escorts to minimize the fighters that actually reach you, and of course, stay well out of the center of the system; I usually head for a corner and stay there. This gives my escorts much more time to inflict damage before any defenders can reach me.

well then all you have to do is load up on those seeking weapons. While not so effective in the cresent you can easily take out UE fighter, Cresent Fighters, and vonian fighters. Also, the plasma syphon makes quick work of fighters. And finally, you have the massive dreadnought fighter bay to counter fighters.

21st, we can't prove that.. A UE Cruiser would probably win for it has long range weapons that the Dreadnaught lacks.... On a larger scale, the UE C. can be mass produced much easier then the big clunky dreadnaught....

The Voinain Dreadnaught is not a cheat ship because you can buy one in the version of EV Override 1.0.2. I proved you wrong 21st Century Digital Boy.

Um, Matt did the engine, but Peter Cartwright wrote the scenario, and Andrew is the president of Ambrosia, the company that publishes EVO.

The Dreadnaught isn't really a cheat ship. It is possible to get it without cheating. When you get to the system the Dreadnaught is in, abort the mission. Then disable and try to capture it. It'd be pretty hard though, 'cause it has tons of crew. It kicks @$$. Too slow for me, though.
