Sorry, buddy, but there is (and never will be) an EVO for Windows. If you want to play Override, and the even cooler Nova, you should buy a Mac.
How much do you want to bet that this topic gets closed?

You can always find an emulator too. But we won't help you with that.
No go away and play Half-Life, wintel bastard.

I bought a Venus Fly Trap today. I was going to name it "Republican", but the Fly Trap is benifical to the environment. I'll save that name, one day I might find a plant that eats poor people and minorities.

Let's not be so harsh. Maybe the guy is poor and his parents bought him a Wintel computer as a surprise for his birthday, though he really wanted a Mac, and he couldn't turn them down or something because he really needs a computer. That's happened to friends of mine before, though my Mac advocacy is so loud that my parents wouldn't ever buy me a Wintel computer .
Anyway, go (url="http://"http://hammerand.virtualave.net/ev/install/pceo.html")here(/url) for information about how to play EVO on a Windows computer. I haven't been able to ever get it to work, but I was using Windows NT in the computer lab, and they might have had something disabled. But there is no version of EVO for Windows; the only way you can get it to work is through an emulator, as described in the web site I linked to above.

Hmm... topics about a Windows EVO are usually closed right away.

Why do people keep asking this question? The answer always has been, always is, and always will be, NO.

I think a ban for a while should be put in place for anyone who posts a topic like this, the answer is obvious.

I guess the person who started this topic was being a little ignorant or lazy by not bothering to look up the fact that EVO for Windows doesn't exist. But we can forgive that (can't we?) and proceed to give him the closest answer we can without being gratuitously mean. Come on--several people on this board use Windows (I know since lots of people who visit (url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/evosite")my web site(/url) who are referred from the boards are using Win98 or Win95 or something. As to the closest semi-answer, refer to my earlier post and visit (url="http://"http://hammerand.virtualave.net/ev/install/pceo.html")this web site(/url) for the only instructions for running EVO on :frown: Windows machines :frown: that I know of.

Okay, first off, it's in the FAQ's. Second, he should get an emulator.

Hurabat, you probably have what we call 'second-hand EVO addiction'...
You probably saw your friend or something blasting Azdgari and were immediately addicted! Your friend tried to warn you, but nope, you were out the door! You went out and got the game... and then your comp attempted to eat it.... because it was in Mac format!! And now you came here to ask, ahhh, brave move!
And now you've gotten the living daylights baten out of you by hoards of Mac users..
All I can say is that emulaters beat EVO up... they are said to REALLY CHOP THE SPEED DOWN!!!!

So I've heard, but they are the only way to play EVO on Windows. Of course, the best advice for this and any other computer problem is to get a Mac...

The reason emulators are slow is beacuse they tend to emulate 68k's, I think a new one that can emulate PPC's has just come out. Not sure though.
