Mr. TTomm46,
Welcome to the boards.
As for your question it really is a matter of opinion. In mine I believe $25 is a reasonable figure, and I think the game has a good amount of fun. I also like the feature of plug-ins, that players can create their own additions to the game for everyone to enjoy. Granted there aren't very many of these yet, but they are coming. And if you like the game you can certainly begin development of your own plug-ins.
However, when all is said and done the only thing that matters is what you think. And thankfully Ambrosia is a shareware company, meaning that you can download the game, either the (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl/mac_pog_full.sit?path=pog/essentials&file;=mac_pog_full.sit")full version(/url) or the (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl/mac_pog_demo.sit?path=pog/essentials&file;=mac_pog_demo.sit")demo(/url), and play it for 30 days. If you like it then you can register it which unlocks all the features of the game for you. And if you decide you don't like it then you can delete it off your hard drive and not feel like you wasted any money.
If you have any questions about the game, feel free to ask.
Good luck.

I personally feel the game was well worth 25 dollars, as it was alot of fun with alot of replay value. Not a classic, but definently a high quality game.

I agree with penguin. I payed $25 for it after two days.
