Ok, I got hooked up with the Igadzra and their secrecy/surprisingly powerful
warship. I know now that a lot of people think the Azdgari are better, they
probobly are, but the Igadzra found me first. So.

Now I have to raid outpost terapin as part of the final missions of the Strand
Central Objective.
Just how do you go about killing off about 15 Zidaras and 30 Zidigar fighters
on your own? I hate those phased beams.
Also, while I can do plugins, ships and weapons, I am TERRIBLE at the actual
game of EV:O.

In conclusion, any help on the matter would be appreciated.

I am flying an Igazra with roughly the following specs:
1 thrust upgrade.
1 super shield enhancer*
3 shield enhancers
1 RCS upgrade
1 accel. upgrade
6 seeker turrets*
1 Plasma siphon
3 neutron turrets
thats about it.
Items marked with an asterisk (*) are custom XornCo. items,
all of them are very fair, as the price is carefully calculated based on
other weapons of relatively the same type. 270 % of the price is then added again,
resulting in items well over 10 million credits.

Seeker turrets are not actually turrets, but act like them. They take down feul.

If your super shield enhancer and seeker turrets are 'very fair' ... why do you use them? Obviously, they make your vessel more powerful than it would be with conventional equipment, or you wouldn't bother.

Money is not an issue - an experienced player can back off from missions temporarily and do some escort-assisted trading, making about a million credits every three minutes... and most registered players have about 12m sloshing around in their bank account by the time they've beaten the UE (or the Voinians). Justifying the inclusion of more powerful weapons because they cost a lot is bunkum. If it can't be used against you, you shouldn't have it either. EV:O is meant to be a challenge.

Too much of a challenge for some, it seems.

Yah, your'e right. I was actually just testing them out for my plugin, though.
They don't make my ship any more powerful (at least the weapons don't), I just had them because I was playtesting them. Keep them or sell them, it doesn't matter to me.

I like SAD modules better anyway.

But that isn't the point. What do you do to defeat Tons of Zidaras? I have tried going about this in many ways, and all I want is some help, not insults on my work that you havn't even seen. I hate cheating and have never downloaded anything remotely like a cheat plugin in my EV/O career.

To reiterate, how do you go about winning agains about 15 Zidaras?

Go capture some escorts. Azdgari Warships, Igazras (except you are on their side) and Zidaras make excellent escorts. Go round up 6 escorts, and try again.

Go Phase all the way, guidance does nothing against the Zidagar. If you feel bold, experiment with neutron, though I personally detest those slow things. Get max. phase turrets, and then go defense and upgrades. Defense pods may or may not do anything vs. the fighters.

That's my advice.

Thank you, I guess I needed better escorts after all. By the way, if anyone cares,
I did sell my seeker turrets and "super" shield enhancer. Well, I didn't sell them as much as deleted the plugin, it had served it's purpose.

So, to VoinianEmbassedor, I was testing the graphics of the weapons and items, not making my own cheats and still not winning. I was using the plugin to test my 3d rendering skills and I threw in some weapons, too.

So now I have 5 neutron turrets again, and my 2 SAD launchers. Or at least I would, but now EVO won't open for lack of memory...? What's going on!! I was just about to try all of your advice, too, and thank you so much for it :).

The game is difficult for me, but not too much of a challenge.
