    • Sapphire plugin

I'm playing a new game with Sapphire plugin. There are two new persons in Fantrima, one by the north entrance, and one in the center of town. Neither will speak to me. I'm at level 19 and have been back to town several times but they both remain silent. Is there a trigger I haven't reached yet that opens up dialogue with these citizens? You don't have to tell me what it is or where, just tell me if it's supposed to be like that at this point in my game. Thanks for any informed input.

    • Have you talked to the little girl in the south part of Fantrima? Or just the woman (the fountain I think) and the man (by the north gate)?

Thanks for the hint. I haven't talked to persons I thought I met before in other games and I can see I should go back and talk to everybody. The north gate man doesn't talk, and there's a man in a blue robe near Vortek, the Mayor, who also has not spoken. I'll check them all out.

    • OK, so I've talked to the father's friend and located the blue dragon, but the dragon has something pulsating under him generating health points faster than I can get hits on him. After many minutes of battle I have not even made a dent in the dragon's health. Do I have a bug here? The dragon does not attack me even if I let my defenses down.

    • Erm, the people weren't meant to talk unless you go to the little girl. Then they'll speak their minds, but if you leave and come back, they'll be silent again. You can always speak to the little girl and do it again, but they say the same thing anyways.

    • What is the purpose of Normha(sp?) village? All everyone says is go away, you are not one of our kind, or something like that. They look like humans to me.

Im guessing your talking about Trinity?
Thier forest dwellers, what character that you can play seems most likely to fit in?
Also, register and post your own topics other then hijacking other peoples threads (specialy old ones) that don't go with the question.

    • Oh, sorry about that.

I activated the Sapphire plugin, found the blue dragon, and I can't defeat him! It sounds like he keeps using potions, and he keeps getting 10 or 20 health! And, I only do 1 damage to him when I hit him! The quest is impossible to beat.

    • Tsk, tsk, tsk. You Ambrosia forum moderators haven't changed since last I was here, a couple of months or so ago, when I was registered. Still angry about patriotism and "turning up old topics."

    • Well, what I meant was, SOME of the moderators are angry about the above topics. You helped me in PoG when I was stuck and I thank you for that.

Hi Tanis Half-Halo, I had the same experience as you the first time I encountered the blue dragon. I went back to an earlier save of the game and on my second try the pulsating light under the dragon was gone. It's true I was only taking him down a point at a time, so it took a long time to kill him. I've found two ways that work well.

First, if you have a character who can use the Elven Bow, go into the area where the dragon hides, fire off a series of arrows, and retreat when the dragon comes after you. The dragon is shy and will not follow you out into the open area. Go back and repeat the process until he falls.

Second, build up your character's strength to somewhere around 90 and give him several good whacks.

I've done both of those ways with success. Good luck with your game!

      P. S. Norgha Village only welcomes Rangers, the Mage Tower only allows Conjurers, and the Swordsman's Guild admits only- - you guessed it. 🙂

    • Unfortunately, I saved and replaced my old save right after getting the treasure next to the dragon, and now, when I load the game and appear right next to the big S, the dragon is still healing himself. I am going to try exiting and reentering the area to see if that works. If it doesn't, I will try uninstalling the plugin, reinstalling it, and trying again. I probably can't beat him though. I am level 17 with the best stuff from Fantrima(I get the best stuff there, then the boots of lightning, then the best stuff from berglum) and a belt of stone. I am using a Drivatan Claymore.

    • I beat the quest with my level 26 character who does 500 damage... I chose the level up award. How much strength would I get if I chose more strength?

Cool plugin! A few bugs though... I wonder, is it possible for me to make quests?

      Mr. Half-Halo (Hey! I'm a Stark Bledfast clone! :p),

You can make your own plug-ins for PoG, including ones that add quests using (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/games/coldstone")Coldstone(/url), Ambrosia Software and Beenox's game editor. If you need any help while you're making your plug-in, please visit the Coldstone web board.

Sapphire's father had a friend in Berglum. If you talk to him, he will reluctantly tell you where to find the blue dragon.

    • I have begun making a plugin that will add 2 potions, one restoring 500 points of life and the other restoring 1000 to the selection of goods for certain people(the people who sell potions or food in Fantrima, Gywnden Camp, Fungus's Getaway, Dernath, and Berglum) as well as a new quest. I am having lots of trouble though... I sent Ambrosia an email about it earlier today so they should respond soon. What do I get for registering it?
