    • im making a plug,input wanted and welcome


      I said it a long time ago but now im really serious, uhh ya, anyway, i have the storyline pretty much all set down, what i would really apreciate from all you great ev/o players is ideas for outfits and wepons weve got a few but...net nearly enough for the size of plug i want to make (its gonna be total conversion) any other ideas for missions, planets dudes, or anyhting you would like to see in a plug would be great, and all you expeariance plug devlopers, any utilties or programs you have or know that you think really help let me know, thanks a bunch

    • Here are a few ideas. Tell me when your plug-ins comes out.

      1.How about a government that is super powerful and highly technilogically advanced, but never leaves their few systems. You could make a mission string about them suddenly trying to take over more systems, and you have to stop them.

      2. A weapon called the temporal vortex. A beam that shoots in all directions and that holds a ship still when its caught in it. However this weapon doesn't do much damage.

      3. A weapon called the inverse vortex. A beam that shoots in all directions that is similiar to the temporal vortex, but bounces ships back instead of holding onto them. Like the temporal vortex, this weapon does little damage.

      4. A rocket that goes super fast and has a very large impact, but doesn't do too much damage.

    • Hmmm... this weapon may sound a little like what the Cap'n was talking about, but I think it's a little different. I have no idea what to call it.... but, it would be a ship repellant. Like if you were surrounded by enemy ships, it would be a desperation weapon. It'd send a spherical (well.. the game's 2d, so circular) burst of energy out from your hull and it would smash in to all the other ships in your vicinity. The weapon would have to have a major drain on fuel, as well as shields (energy needed)...

      I guess it'd be nice to have with a voinian cruiser or some other ship with minimal shields but lots of armor.

    • errrr... I guess I forgot to mention what the blast would do. It would do damage to enemy shields, and send the ships hurdling away from you (like a big, big, big explosion)...

      it'd give you time to jump out of the system, or at least get away from everything.

    • yeah, heres a couple of ideas that are kinda cool:
      1. a medium speed EMP rocket that disable all shields in the blast radius
      2. a rapid-fire rocket launcher like the javelin rockets in EV
      3. a continuous-stream flame-thrower
      4.a seeker weapon like P. missiles, except it has no proximity damage and is only jammable by flares

      thats all I can think of right now.

    • I also had a similar idea to that of Flatulence iwht the repellant thing, but I know how to make it, too.. 🙂 Make a weap that's life span is as short as possible (the speed of the weap doesn't really matter because of that) with a huge blast radius with large blast and turn on the flak type weapon option. Then do whatever other options you want and you got a weap that pushes ships away and inflicts whatever amount of damage you want.. 🙂

      Another idea is a "smart" missile that follows you until you tell it to attack a target (wich means you can send them off all at the same time so that the ship can't recharge between attacks) and if the ship is destroyed before one of the missiles reaches it then you can recover the missile without having it go to waste. What you do is actually disguise the missile as a ship with the launcher being a bay. Then give the ship one weapon wich is the kind that blows up the ship when it fires (i think ammotype -999 or something) with however much damage you want it to be. Then cleverly disguise it with the pics and descriptions and voila! "smart" missile.. 🙂

      Hmm, that's all I can think of for now.. maybe more laterer...

    • Sideswiper Missiles. Think Needle Missiles and SAD/SAE Launchers combined. It fires like an SAD or SAE but has a needle missle pic instead of the module. However it would have the same guidance of the needle. The idea is to have multiple needles launched at the same time to inflict more damage. It has the same system as the SAD/SAE (like the more launchers you get, the more needles that are launched) except the recharge rate is a lot quicker instead of the long wait between launches. It would be a very lite weapon and the damage could either be more or less than a needle.

      Also an outfit that reduces the number of days it takes too jump (instead of 4 maybe 1 or 2).
