Mr. Dampeoples,
You are correct. The ability to choose class was instituted with Beenox's release of a POG plug-in named "Trinity." Trinity was created by the people who made POG so it is an "official" add-on. It adds 3 character classes plus skills and spells that are specific to those classes. It does not add any new stories or plots, just extra features that are nice to use.
If you want to download Trinity you can do so from the add-ons page. You need to have a registered copy of POG, as well as the latest version of POG which is 1.0.1.

oh Wolf Claws are even better! they absolutely rock in the way of damage! I love Master Nohgra! He's the best lol
also the Great Bow of Vyro is awesome as well...I wouldn't bother with the Bow of Patience as it drops your dexterity to 0. And to anyone just playing it...choose Ranger! and any questions just ask Stark Bledfast....he's good with them!

alas, no you cant change classes midgame but you can use Trinity and use the Ranger weapons, if Im remembering right i think the default is consitered a Ranger.
Stark or AAC is that right?

Default should be the swordsmen, or mabe it does think swordsmen is ranger...i'm not sure, but anyway its best not to use trinity with a normal saved game, bad things can happen. So ya, start a new player.

Well, the default pic is the swordsman. But if I remember right you can't use any of the "special" weapons nor get into any of the guilds as a "class-less" character. But then, as AAC said, bad things happen mixing saved games from trinity/no-trinity. Best to start over with a new character.

This is actually not true. A classless character is called a "default" and is just another class, therefore, the game will not consider it to be something else. Actually, Defaults can get into the Swordsman Guild and use the Guild weapons. And yes, bad things can happen, but I've never experienced any, and I don't think anyone else has either.
