    • Problem with 1.0.2

My pilot from EVO 1.0.1 won't work with 1.0.2. Whenever I try to open the pilot file, a dialog box comes up saying that the pilot file was made with a previous version of EV and cannot be used. This is extremely frustrating because in that pilot file I have over twenty million credits and have a Crescent Warship. Is there any way to fix this problem? Thanks.

    • There was a certain way you could. but I don't remember. Also you could start over again. It won't take as long because you know what to do any way. Ask Jude here.

    • Hey,
I don't know why it won't work, I mean, it worked in EV. Plus Ambrosia just fixed some simple things, not change the entire code. I guess, since it isn't working, there is a way to make it work with ResEdit, but don't ask me how. Sorry I couldn't be of help.

By The Way, where did you get your Mac.com email address?

Yes, that's because the pilot file was made with a previous version and cannot be used! When Ambrosia released 1.02 one of the things they mentioned was that the pilot files are incompatible. Very annoying, I know. You could just use a cheater plug to give you enough credits to buy your stuff again, and then redo the missions. If you have knowledge of ResEdit and some determination you can create a plug with easily completable missions (take off, then land again) that will set the mission bits of the missions you completed...

... or you try creating a new pilot file and play 1.02 like you're supposed to! 😛

Oh, yeah, they didn't really change much. All they did was add a half a dozen features, rework most of the templates, and change a good portion of the resources. Nothing major.

    • So no one knows how to "fix" the pilot file with ResEdit to make it compatible with 1.0.2? And to answer the Mac.com e-mail address question, go to Apple.com and go to iTools. You'll find it there. Well, if no one can fix it, I guess I'll have to start over. 20 million credits down the drain. And I had already completed two of EVOs main objectives! Oh well. That only took a couple of weeks. Now it should go by faster.

So if they have reworked the templates and stuff will old plugins work with evo1.02
and usually if its that major developers go to 1.5....
