      What is a Plasma Syphon, and how do you get it?

      The Plasma Siphon is an Igadzra weapon that ejects clouds of plasma. It can be gotten by doing the Igadzra missions. At one point they give it to you to test, and let you keep it.

      It's an ok weapon, does respectable damage to shields, and has a high impact. Perfect for stopping small fighters in their tracks.

      Yes it is quite a good weap. But my only complaint is its not very accurate.

      After all the praise it got from the online community, I was quite disappointed when I actually got the Plasma Siphon. It doesn't add all that much to the damage output, considering that it uses up a gun slot, and although it's designed specifically for that purpose, it sucks against fighters, just pushing them away instead of hurting them. It's virtually impossible to kill a swarm of Azdaras with the Plasma Siphon; with Phase Turrets, however, piece of cake.

      It isn't that bad. I took out the defence fleets of all the moon in the Azdgari system with the plasma Siphon easily. It has a good damage rating against both shields and armour, and doesn't consume fuel. One of the best weapons in the game.
