    • MAGMA installing question

      I'm really stupid when it comes to Macs and when installing MAGMa it says "...you may need to up EVO memory allocation(or something like that) to 17000k..." and can anyone tell me how to do this or what this means. any Answer to my question would help my out a lot...THANKS

      Get info on EVO (file menu), and for 8.0 or later (I think, I'm not exactly sure) click the pop-up menu and select 'Memory', then just adjust the memory in the boxes below (it's in kilobytes, 1 megabyte = 1,024 kilobytes).

      Just click (once) on the EV:O application, go to file, scroll down, and click on "Get Info." At the bottom of the window that pops up, raise the prefered amount of memory. I guess you already know this, but if not, all you have to do with the Magma file is drage it into the folder called "EV Plug-ins" (or something close to that).

      Thanks for the info but if anything you just said has anything to do with a "modern" mac then you may need to explain differently because the mac i'm using is an old power mac from ages long since past...not a new g4 or g5 i mac I wish I had one of those... oh well
