    • Undead Damage

Why is it that the undead do so much more damage to me? What can I do to lessen this? I do well against most things but the undead seem to make me run for my potions.

    • I've just started playing PoG, but I'm quite far on and I've found out that if you go to Berglum you can buy things like the Holy Cloak and the Claymore of Light, which have special effects against the undead. There is also a quest (my sister tells me) later on that you get The Divine lamp from, which offers 50 undead protection. I still haven't found this, however!!

    • MDWGMalc is on the right track undead protection is the key the Bow of destruction helps too. you the best defence is 'kill them all'

      good luck

    • The divine lamp is one good piece to have, there are other items also like a special shield you will have to have for later in the game, various weapons, armor, some abilities to work on like dexterity and speed make it harder for them to hit you as well as improving your attacks on them, and you will need to do this to improve your game play and survivability.

Why is it that the undead do so much more damage to me?

The reason for this is that there are 3 forms of attack in POG: physical(which includes
      magical), undead, and mental.

Armor only protects against physical attacks, but does nothing against the other two.

Undead creatures attack with undead damage and you need protection against this in order
      to ward off their attacks.

And mental(mind) attacks are the same way. In order to stave off mental attacks you need
      something that protects against this.

As has been mentioned above anything that lists "Undead Protection" in its description
will be beneficial to you. Your AC will be obsolete, and your Undead Protection stat
becomes ultra-important when facing the undead.

Holy cloak, divine lamp, milla-kara shield are all good forms of undead protection. And
as Straytoaster suggested a good bow is extremelly helpful(after all, if they can't get
in range to hit you then it doesn't matter what armor you have on. Go out and hunt undead
      in your BVD's!).

      Good luck, and good hunting.
