Not Circut City, though.

Thanks. I'll try Circut City next. (Is it going to be Circuit City in the release? Just the editor in me trying to improve the world.)
Actually I'm working on Summit Plummet (or however it is spelt) right now, which at least doesn't involve almost "instant" death as did most of the other levels I've tried so far. If I could stop falling off things or getting killed by goblins and dying in other various and sundry ways I might actually get somewhere.

It probably will.
Actuly, I think it's full name is "Nighttime in Circut City:.
Did you have a better name in mind?

I think it needs a few more health crystals, and then it'd be ok.

No, I just want Circuit spelled correctly. (Picky, picky, picky)
(I bite my tongue and ignore spelling mistakes on the forums because I know how easy it is to make them.)

I can't send it to Ferazel Freak because I don't know his e-mail address.

Sorry, I just registered. It's ethanec@aol.com

Can someone help me out here? To play "circut city" (sik) I need to "paste" something into the backgrounds. Managed to download it okay, but don't know what to do next.
Question - How do I do this?
If I need ResEdit please let me know where I can get it - I tend to purge unneeded programs from my computer (I figure if I haven't used it since 1984 I don't need it) which makes for a very stable computer, but without a lot of the goodies you guys take for granted.
Thanks
------------------
Download ResEdit (url="http://"http://download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/English-North_American/Macintosh/Utilities/ResEdit_2.1.3.sea.bin")http://download.info...t_2.1.3.sea.bin(/url)
Make a copy of FW's Backgrounds.
Open the original in ResEdit
Open the downloaded with ResEdit.
Copy the PICT resource. (Click on the ICON above the word 'PICT' and press copy.)
Go the the FW's Backgrounds and press paste.
Save FW's Backgrounds.
When you play OBW files use this new FW Background file. When playing norm levels, use the file that you copied before hacking it in ResEdit.

Thanks Burnum. Will try it tomorrow.

I could use the level password, thank you very much!!!!!!
------------------
Burnum - thanks again for the information. It worked perfectly. Can't say as much for my abilities to play the level though...
Where should I report any bugs or problems. (If they are bugs - I never know if it's a bug, me, or the level is designed that way!)
------------------
Bug reports? You could just type it in the OBW topic. We'll see it and AVN will probably say, ooh thats one of my cool features about that level. Either that or, I like that, I want to do a whole level that utilizes that bug.

If the level doesn't say "Done" on the levels page, don't bother reporting it.
If the level was one of AVN's, it's probably a feature. (AVN- PLEASE cut it out with the fake walls! Save that **** for the ninth kingdom or CCLM!)
Also, comments would be nice.
If you find a level way too hard, tell us.
Or, to save typing, tell us the ones that aren't.

I was about to type that Lockbox wasn't too hard, but then I realized I cheated at one point (yes, after being trapped innumerable times, Monster Lady resorted to a myst potion to hit some switches without being trapped). Perhaps AVN can let me in on the secret as to that one particular room!
But of all the levels I've "tested" so far, this one has been by far the most enjoyable. Didn't die once, but had to esc more than once to go back and "try, try again". Perhaps 2 more seconds needed? And perhaps more crystals at a spot where you have time to stop & GET them. (ARGGHH) Especially as they are needed on the top.
Also enjoyed River of Pi. Wasn't able to get the last few secrets out, but really improved my swimming technique. Didn't FerazEdit at all.
Finally resorted to FerazEdit on Delusions of Mediocrity. I know it's not a bug, but using nothing short of a myst potion was I able to push the button needed. Trust me, I tried and tried but couldn't survive long enough or stay in one place long enough to even spin jump to expose the stupid thing. (Maybe I'm missing something here - is there another way to open that door?)
Finished Summit Plummet - no need for FerezEdit, but then I didn't really finish it - just found the exit and said "I'm outta here". No 100%'s for Monster Lady! What's with the invisible stuff?
I HATE cheating, but you guys make these levels TOO hard and you'll make cheaters of us all. Haven't gotten far in the Mines or Circuit City. Just can't find the way in the mines and keep running out of Magic and then dying JUST before a purple pool in CC (again - ARGHH). Don't want to resort to FerezEdit, but I'm tempted.
That's it for now.

AVN - I apologize. This morning I was able to get through the Lockbox level without resorting to FerazEdit. You're too sneaky!
I would still like more time and more health & magic crystals!

Arghh!!! These OBW levels sound soooo cool!! Please can I beta test?

I don't think there were that many... Just that one maze in The Surface, and they weren't fake, it's just that they were one-way.

No, I found the shortcut (unless there is more than one!). But by the time I'd blasted my way out of the cavern into the passage the time was too short to stop and gather crystals from the torches (and I'd injured myself with the fireseeds I threw to get out of the cavern).
Maybe I should play it on my slower computer (6500 vs G3 PB) - worked for Parched Earth and the rolling fire levels!
