Ive been pondering over this ever since I downloaded EVO...AN ONLINE VERSION OF EVO WOLD BE AWESOME!!!!! Think it over people. (No need to think...it would be awesome!! )

Yea that would be pretty damn cool. But kinda hard to get it all organized and stuff, maybe just playing over the modem would be fun with a friend or two...

Yeah, everybody here thinks that a multiplayer EV/O would be insanely cool, but Ambrosia says they ain't doing it. Other groups have tried, but none have suceeded (although some are still trying, I believe.) So unless you have something really important to say, just go read some of the old topics on them (set it to show dates further baback, and you should find plenty.)

Heh, you might be suprised. Already Ambrosia is entertaining the idea of an EVMP.

If everybody votes on EV/O Multiplayer and freely wishes to help the designers then there could be a EV/O For Multiplayers.
So everybody who would like EV/O Online, must help or we'll never get that thing started.
It will sure take a couple of months maybe years but if we all stick together and send in tips & tricks on how to make EV/O Online it will sure come.
Everybody who agree's (or not) mail me, please?
Well I have nothing more to say, just wanna get that off my chest!

the game looks insanley cool and I've been talking to the developers. Otherwise yes multiplayer EV would work but for a few modifications:

the special mission strings would be spawned by staff and a few others.

A EVO Arena would be cool... import your own pilot files and just see who's better at killing each other and it would stop those "My ship is better than your ship" debates.

MMEV would require a dedicated server and a few online staff. A dedicated server could just be a web server, but if the game gets popular it would probably have to be more.
