Firstly I'd like to say thank you for both your welcome and your advice monster lady, I still haven't tackled those bosses yet but I'll be certain to use the Ice wall...which brings me to my new question..
Do all of the spells do the same damage/take up the same amount of mana?

Some spells use up more power per shot than others... just watch your level drop as you fire! I can't remember which ones use the most though - I think the Statue and Ice Wall.

Most people refer to me as ML - I'm not really much of a Monster (and we'll leave the Lady to your discretion...)

Statue and Ice wall use the most. Statue is obviously worth it, and against bosses its damage is incredible.
