Wow... I'm a registered user!

At the first place in EotE with the wraiths, after getting the rez necklace and smite rings, Ferazel must ascend between two walls of spikes. The only way I can figure getting up there is by building a tree trunk, then somehow switching to ice wall, lambering up the trunk, and going from there. This is proving to be pretty impossible, largely because the way the floor is there makes it difficult to build a trunk in a good place. Is there some cute li'l trick I'm missing? If not, any pointers?

There is no trick. Just get way back until Ferazel is touching the wall, then shoot tree trunk on the ground. And when you are running towards the big tree trunk, change it to Ice wall and shoot at the spikes. Then, ice-wall up.

I'm too slow to switch spells mid-run, so I just climb the side of the tree trunk and keep building it until I reach the top.

I think a good tip for getting your Tree-Trunk in the right place is to stand just behind the closest sword on the left, press whatever key you have assigned for "Up" and shoot. Shoot about ten times then run up to your Tree-Trunk and, as Ice said change spell while runnung toward it.

There's plenty of people out there who give better answers than me & gave me lots of help in the beginning. (Merciless, Zelda just to name just a couple of 'em who are still around)

I try to give good answers and be helpful to others. Probably because I SUCK at game playing and everything is hard for me so I can sympathize.

I remember back when I didn't know how to build a tree trunk....
