Thank-you, MonsterLady! I did die off-screen: I decided to use the method someone suggested of climbing up the wall to the left; I only died by being shot by the fireballs, falling into the fire and not getting out quick enough again and again. Then I am off-screen.

I've tried using that wall climbing technique (you can protect yourself from the fireballs by using your shield - press your "down key" and at the same time the directional key to turn you away from Xichra - in this case the "left") but can't figure out how to hit Xichra with the fireseeds while up there. Can live for quite a long time up there, but have to come down eventually! It is a nice place to escape the arrows though!

Good luck on beating her. I've gotten as far as the final conversation, but have never completed the game without cheating :frown: (Ferazedit to 99 smite rings).

If you simply fire, the seeds bounce pretty high. Once in a while they hit Xichra. Only problem is, you run out too quickly because of all the missed shots.

BTW, I was battling Xichra this morning and I used about 94 Zirid. seeds on her - I went on to Fire Seeds and after I had used about 50 I got the 'Fire Seeds dribble out of Ferazel's hand' bug. NOW I KNOW HOW FRUSTRATING IT IS!
Oh well. I suppose I could always cheat...or I could try again.
