    • Poppy Muffins!

I don't know if anyone can answer this question.
      But who knows.

I would like to see a photo of a poppy muffin. Or a drawing. As big as possible. 64x64... 128x128... Or bigger. You see, not a small thing.

When I saw the poppy muffin in FW, it looked so cool I wanted to see a real one. A cool one.

So, if you can help... Thanks!

    • Well, if you head out to Costco and grab their 12-pack (is it 12, or 16?) of large muffins, one of the "rows" in the package is poppy seed....I think 🙂

(oh, and good job taking a stab at me in a thread I don't read; real mature)

    • Sometimes, I'd like to stab you.

Is this a personal attack? Nope. Just a fact.

Hmmm maybe that's why your karma is always below 0

      Aussie:
I don't think you are going to increase your karma by threatening Merciless' life. You would have a lot more luck if you threaten a moderator. 😉

You don't say. I wonder why that could be.

    • One more post about karma and I'm locking this topic and karmaslapping anyone that participated in the above discussion. I am totally irked by karma chat in these boards. I don't like the system, you probably don't either, get over it.

      Merciless' life

That should be Merciless's life because Merciless is a singular noun and all singular nouns in English add 's to become possessive.

      That can be debated.

    • I'm not sure it has to.

      ------------------

    • It can go both ways, but both are only acceptable under different occasions:

To quote "MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers," Fourth Edition, 2.2.7:

      Quote

      b. To form the possessive of a plural noun ending in s , add only an apostrophe.
      *** photographers' props

      • firefighters' trucks
      • tourists' luggage**

BUT, the case that applies to this (off-)topic the most follows:

      Quote

      e. To form the possessive of any singular proper noun, add an apostrophe and an s.

      *** Venus's beauty

      • Dickens's reputation
      • Descartes's philosophy
      • Marx's precepts**

      f. To form the possessive of a plural proper noun, add only an apostrophe.

      *** the Vanderbilts' estate

      • the Jones' economic woes
        **

Therefore I rule in favor of Dr Tall. Case dismissed.

    • MLA Handbook? Well I say poo poo to them, what with their guidelines for paranthetical citations and all 😄

I'm going to go way back to the past and go with what my grade 9 English teacher said: "They're both right" 🙂

I can show you a close up of one from the game, but I don't have a real picture of one.

    • Silly Ice, trying to stay on topic. Where were we? Oh yes...
For the first time I agree with Aussie. Etherway you look at it, it is not going to cause great turmoil in the balance of power of the universe.
