    • Ring of Gods factors

      Hey,

I've now got three characters (one of each) in the Trinity plug-in that have finished the game. I'm wondering what are some of the factors (other than luck) that go into whether or not a sea giant coughs up a "ring of gods" (as opposed to the other rings, shield, belt, elixirs, filters or just plain cash).

For example, both my warrior and my conjurer have luck just over 250, but the warrior is much stronger in experience and other stats (L26, Strength--1000+, Dex, Marks & Vitality all over 200 versus L24, Strength 370, Dex/Vitality about 65 and Marks ~35). Using my conjurer, I took out nearly 100 sea giants before landing a "ring of gods", whereas I just played around with about a dozen sea giants with my warrior and picked up no less than three of 'em. Apparently there more than "luck" at play here, huh?

Just curious about others of you who have finished the game with characters and then pursued the "two swipe" level against the sea giants. Have you had similiar experiences?

I have had similar experiences with different games. Some times it seems as if the "ring of gods' are plentiful, and other times, they are few and far between. For example, I just finished taking out about 130 Sea Giants with my Ranger with luck at over 500 and only picked up 7 Ring of Gods. Don't think strength or dex plays a factor as my Ranger takes out giants with a single swing. I'm guessing there is a certain random luck factor built into the game. I have noticed that various elixirs or other rings fall repeatedly, then stop for a bit, then pick back up again. For example, just before quiting and coming on the boards, I got six ring of snakes in a row. Weird huh? Nothing else to say. Nice talking to you.

    • I have completed the game, but I don't know what or where the sea giants are. Are those just the giants that hang around gideoln keep?

That be them. The big green guys.

    • I just thought I'd add something:

I got 5 Rings of Gods off of one screen (the Gidolan Keep Entrance one) with my luck at 203. It's got to be completely random. No other explanation if you only got 7 with luck at 500.
