I just got FW and am addicted! But, I'm at the Storm Valley but how do I get past the armadillos -- I've tried the smite rings but it didn't work and the statue spell didn't last long enough for me to get past the first one before I found the second one.
Also, is there a hints site for the game (I see there no cheat codes like with apeiron).

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE ANY HEALTH POTIONS, MAGIC POTIONS, REZ NECKLACES, OR SMITE RINGS!!! SAVE THEM FOR THE LAST LEVEL!!! You'll need them. Also, use as few Fire/Zir seeds as possible.
I kill the armadillos with the Fireball spell.
You have to wait until they have thier head exposed, then blast them with a few fireballs.
You will have to repeat this several times.
BTW, There is some of that purple liquid on this level.
Don't give up!

Funny you should ask that. Andrew just posted about Erica's hints guide which can be found at http://www.macosjour.../erica/ferazel/
There is also FerazEdit, which Erica mentions on the first page, in her article.

Thanks for the replies. They all worked and I love erica's MacOSJ hints. BTW, I just got past the amadillos, just to be killed by a flying something or another who's decapitated head kept firing on me!! Now, THAT was an unexpected original! I hope there's a save nearby!

Definetly save after you pick up the Res Necklace. Man, that was hard work to get it.
This is a little off topic, but I think I found a bug in this level.
The first troll that attacks you, will run off the left screen if you don't kill it fast enough. If it disapears, then your enemy percentage will be effected by 4% or so.
Second little bug:
Arimdillos will disapear if you exit this level and go to another one, if you don't kill them. They will reapear, however, if you come back and save a game.

I found the level repopulated with armidillos also when I came back to it, but I hadn't gotten 100% of the enemies. Once I got 100% they didn't return.
