What do you use the Statue Spell for? I found it takes up too much magic power to be useful in fighting enemies in the levels. Is it more useful when fighting the bigger enemies such as the goblin cheif?

And while an enemie is frozen, can you harm them by shooting them with the fire or using the dagger? I haven't had much sucsess in doing this. I always have to kill them after they have unfrozen anyway, so I don't see much use in the statue spell.

The statue spell will eventually kill them if you use it enough times. And it's more powerful than fireball or boomerang (kills in a shorter time, but uses up more magic)...so it's very useful to throw at the goblin chief.

I find the statue spell the best thing to use against those stupid armidillo things. I freeze them before they can turn their back on me and then wait for them to come out of it and shoot them again before they can act. I continue this until they're dead. It's not perfect, but I haven't found a better way of killing them yet.

I haven't found a real good use for the statue spell myself.
I usually use fireseeds on the armidillos. If you throw the seed when they're facing you one is usually enough (until you get to the stronger ones, which take more of everything to kill them).

I usually save my fireseeds for those times that I'm out of magic. I'm sort of stingy in using them...I know I'll need them later on!

You should try using the Ice Pick against Armadillos. It usually kills a lesser Armadillo with a single strike and a stronger one with a couple of strikes.

Yuck! That means getting really close to it and killing it before it turns it's back on you and starts firing those quills. Or drops an exploding poop pile on the ground. I don't like those armadillos!

I'll try your suggestion with the ice pick, but I have a feeling I'll take more damage that way. We shall see. Thanks for the tip.

Unfortunately, you can't continue to hit them and do damage while they're frozen. You have to wait until they're just coming out of it and then hit them again. Except for the Goblin Chief. He doesn't freeze so you can keep hitting him.

I blast them with fireballs, and jump or use my shield when they shoot at you.

Of course, you have to hit an exposed part of their body.
