I just finished some missions that took 3 systems away from the faction my problem is my next mission is i'm suposed to dominate some mining facility and they send out the faction gunships. My problem is they keep coming I must have destoryed about around 50 or more but they is just keep coming. Is that a glitch or is their just a whole bunch that you have to defeat?

If you give me the name of the mission and mining facility I will check it for you, I recently played the game.

can't really remember the name of the mission it is one of the all for nothing missions. But the facility is called the deepstar refinery in the ngc1196 system.

Defense ship count for Deepstar Refinery is 1,404. Heck of a lot more than 50. :laugh:

I'd suggest hiring a few escorts to help you out. Or cheat and get the Forklift. That's what I eventually do when I have to start dominating planets. After a while I just get a wee bit bored taking out defenders.

Where can I find plug-ins for cheats in EV? I've heard a lot about them. I might try them in the future.

I only found one DefCount for that Deepstar Refinery, it was 1404, so if I'm wrong then I don't know where else to look. I remember there were a few bugs with ROP. Just a few which dealt with dominating planets. In EVC, can't a player go a head and still land on the planet w/o dominating the planet, and still continue the mission?

1404 equates to 40 ships total, so it's actually less than 50. Try it again and keep count of how many you destroy, not including fighters.

darth42vader, I agree with Guy, try it again. You were probably a few ships away from dominating the planet.
