I have just got a newer computer with OSX and when I try to use plug in the game starts up and then crashes goes back to desk top. What should I do to play EV with plug in?

Perhaps this should go in the Escape Velocity forum? Anyway, if you have any other plug-ins in your folder, it might be that one or more plug-ins is conflicting with the one you're trying to use. Try taking all other plug-ins out, and then opening EV with the plug-in you want to use.

The problem is most likely with the plugin; I suspect that somebody left a problem spďn in it.

Changing subjects a bit, I am new to Escape Velocity, and have a problem. I've downloaded neumerous additions and plugins, and only one works, Lightning. Can anybody help me?

If you have problems with plugs, try raising EV's memory allocation by selecting the EV program; choose get info from file menu; go to memory tab and raise the number in the preferred box.

It can't be the memory, as I have over 50 MB left on the emulator. Whenever I use a plugin though, some message about not being able to find the source file pops up, this happens for all my plugins but lightning.....

Make sure that it is just one plug-in in the file, as most of them aren't compatible with eachother. Try adding more memory to escape velocity, usually it quits because there isn't enough memory to load the game with plugs. 2x or 3x the memory already set up for ev should be enough. However, this depends on which plug you are using. Hope that works for you.
