If you want to play uplink you ought to be smart enough to use cheat 2.

But look under the apple menu 'about cheat 2' and there is enough instructions as you should need.

A: The link is from the older version of the board. You'll have to clear out some stuff from the url. Copy and paste it to your address bar. Here's the link:

Can anybody tell me where to look to use this I tried searching the boards nothing i tried using balloons but I cant find uplink in the listing what do I do ?

As I said on the Introversion boards, find someone who cares. If you can't figure out something as simple as a hex editor you certainly aren't going to be able to do a cheat program.

No what I am saying is that after following the instructions given in the game pressing control-option-command has no affect does not bring up the cheat 2 application box and shows no recognition to the keys whatsoever. I put it into interpurting and did the above but nothing happened If you want i can give you A detailed account of what I did but right now I will see if someone on these boards knows how to do anything but insult me.

Cheat 2 is Mac OS 9 only. Mac OS X uses a system of memory assignment which means that to do something like cheat 2 you'd have to write a kernel extension.

i know exactly how to play uplink, but know nothing on how to use cheat 2. :mellow:

Well, there's a bank audit which may be released with an update of Uplink if one is released, and that'll pick up memory/savegame modification.
