Dr. Tall I think I have since become neutral in the OBW/Dr.Tall War. In the beginning I supported OBW and found you (no offense) a bit arrogant. Now I realize the many great contributions you have made to the boards and Ferazel Community, along with your humblenes... no that's not the right word... lack of arrogance.... yeah that's it. I'm leaving the topic open because it's producing a surprising volume of positive feedback. If it were to turn negative then I'd agree with Zelda.

We can't sit back and remember the good old days. None of Ben's games were terribly popular in the end, which is a crying shame, since we know the truth. But actually, it may surprise you to realise that these may very well be the best days yet. Think of all the new level sets proposed. We're breaking even with this time one year ago, with the difference that old members are doing more than all members doing less. If we continue to complain, we don't produce output, and we die faster. What's your choice now?

Everyone's feeling an equal pinch right now, too. You'd think Banter & Brawl, the most popular board on UBB, would be enjoying the riches of its converts from smaller boards? In the past two days, six people have left, holding post counts between several hundred to four thousand. It's a tragic time over there, indeed, because of the partisanship and the exodus occuring.

So be happy for our Utopia, and enjoy the many fruits of our labour. And for god's sake, stop complaining!

Emperor is right. All the decent level makers are still here. Hate to say it, but aschaaf never made terribly good levels. I mean, they were OK , but he gave up too quickly. He hasn't stayed on a project for very long. I talked to him recently; suddenly he's working on making things for Linux! How deceived the poor man is...

Might I add that this is my 2000th post. I'm pleased at the community we have not ony in these two boards, but all across the UBB. You think you can get this type of hospitality at (url="http://"http://www.macfixitforums.com")http://www.macfixitforums.com(/url) ? Bull. I have a couple of more things to say. Surprised?

I did NOT lock the topic because it hadn't crossed the line yet. The starting post annoyed me to death, but I didn't think that was reason enough to lock. So nobody needs to plead with me not to lock anymore. Not unless you all get stupid.

AVN...I'm taking your post too seriously? I think you were the one taking things too seriously, dude guy. That was my point. And I AM tired of posts that whine about people who have left and predicting the end of the world because of it. Alright, I think my first response to you was maybe a little rough, I'm sorry if my tone went a bit over the top. I guess you were the proverbial straw and I let you have it. But please...if you understand nothing else from what I posted, do understand that people floating in and out of discussion boards is perfectly normal. Very few people will hang around a web board for life. I certainly don't see me posting here until I'm eighty.

Emperor Ent...you're right. Banning Ben from the boards is obviously NOT good for the game. I've argued with Andrew until I'm blue in the face over this issue and he won't budge. It's sad, but I have to tell you that I don't think any sort of campaign will change his mind. He's a stubborn guy, that Andrew. And it's also obvious that they did not part on friendly terms. It absolutely is not supportive of Ferazel's Wand to ban the creator from the boards...but these here are Andrew's boards. He'll do what he wants and believe me, yelling at him and sending petitions will not change his mind.

I would have deleted Ice's offending message...but Spammie must have beat me to it.
