Try making the laser a spell wich launches when you shoot. I dont know how to do it but it should be possible...

Yes. But offensive spells cast with keydowns can only target "all enemies". If there is one enemy in the spell's range when the key is hit, one projectile animation will appear. If there are 15 enemies in range, 15 projectiles will appear. It's actually kind of fun, but may not make much sense for your needs.
