Had a little freak out, there.
My fault i was using a corrupted(crash&bomb;&sadMac; freaky iTunes incident ) 'medeval' scenario file, subsequently it had adversly affected a number of things on my comp.
also does anyone know a cleaner method to cripple the automatic animation indeces; 0 is the walk animation, 1 is the attack,2 is the (for NPCs) range attack animation etc. The manual says duplicate an existing animation, but that only keeps it from doing a separate animation for the action, right ?ż?
