I deffinatly made a few enemies back on the B&B.; But I'm gone for EV. Now for the new stuff!

I've made a few tweaks here and there with my webboard personality, and I promise to behave.

I pwomith I'll be a good wittle boy.

Well, you don't think I would give up on the tool that can make ultimate RPG's, which I wanted to make ever since Blades of Exile came out, with my best mate as a moderator would you? Hell no!

To make a few apoligies that I may have pist off people in the past, I'll say sorry to Kwanzar. After all, he was the only one out of all the people I argued with who actualy had a decent point to prove.

Anyway, off the bad notes, a few questions about Coldstone:

1. How much will it cost? (In dollars and english pounds)

2. Will it be similar to the Cythera engine?

3. Is it better than the Cythera engine? (or worse)

4. Will you be able to edit the amount of PC's a party can start with?

5. How many graphics, roughly, will there be to use?

6. Have you considered teaming up with Jeff Vogel of SpidWeb Software or Fantasoft, the RPG masters, to make it even better?

Hi, glad to see you're back.

2. Only a few people have actually seen the Cythera engine (Delver). Although Delver was very flexible, it wasn't very expandable, and work seems to have stopped on it. Therefore, it's hard to compare.
3. From what has been seen, it will definitely be better than the Cythera engine.

Delver was the engine used to make Cythera. It was originally a big project, (I think) and Cythera was only a 'sample' of great things to come from it. Unfortunately, only Cythera came from Delver, even though Ambrosia said it could make even RPGs set in the future. Delver, though, seemed to have been a tool for use by a privileged few, while Coldstone will be for the many. Also, I'm not sure how easy it was to edit things in Delver, while Coldstone will be made for easy editing.

Finally we can make our own computer gams without having to spend a bucket load on some 'How to Programme' books. hehe, whats more, I've got an early copy of Coldstone sitting on my desktop!

Anywayz, to answer your questions seeing as I'm a moderator.
1. I reckon around $30

2. The Engine is more similar to a Realmz / Myst combination thsan Cythera, although it is incredibly flexible. You won't be tied down or having to build you game around the engine. The engine is created around your creative ideas.

3. Cythera didn't live up to my expectations, so think that it will be muh better than Delver. Delver BTW is the name of the engine that Cythera was built on (I think)

4. No one is really sure, there have been quite a lot of posts about that, and all I can say is that in my old copy, there was only the option of having one character. In this version I have no idea, but in the Screenshots section in upcoming, there's a picture of a game made with Coldstone wth two main characters.

5. There'll be loads of graphics onthe Coldstone website (which I moderate as well), plus you could always fin some able bodied artist to make some for you; you won't be restricted to the ones of the Ambrosia site.

6. Nah...keep it in the family.

Hey hey hey, Its Gav. Wassup? This is one of the best ideas for a program that I have seen since EV. It has the probability of becoming better than Realmz. Been having fun recently? Haven't seen you around the boards recently.

Since you probably would know, what is the best weapon you can find in City of Bywater in Realmz. I am hunting for the Excalibur but I am told it is not in that scenario. I also found there is a character editor that you can put so many magical weapons on your person. How is Blades of Exile going?

I may just be a user and not a "moderator", but because the original price was $30 and the plans have gone way past the $30 level, I would think the price would be considerably greater than $30. It was originally going to be a non-animated 32x32 game creator, and look at it now! If it's going to be $30 (which I greatly doubt), then Ambrosia and Beenox are not selling it for what it's worth.

I'm afraid you will not be able to get that wonderful weapon on the COB scenario. I have yet to find it on any scenario, but I believe it to be on the Destroy the Necronomican scenario (hey, where have I heard that before... :)). Have you tried that? I have the unregistered version, but it's still a class storyline. The editor costs only about $7 or something, but cheating is kinda boring. Oh, did I tell you? I have Realmz 4.2. It's bloody changed a bit I can tell you. I like the way you can have loads of new castes and races on the later ones, but the graphics are too cartoonish, and I can't be bothered to re-register every time a new update comes up (like, every couple of days or so). So, I've stuck with my old version, which is only different in the things above (graphics & races/castes). Funny, about Blades. I was going to order it, but I've found this, which is a squintillion times better. So, forget that! I'm sticking with me ol' mate, Andrew! (and ambrosia, naturally). BTW, me and Skyblade have made a few plans about making a new RPG when it comes out. I have been furiously planning for it since, and if you would like to help, you'd be welcome. It's a wicked idea, but we want to make it freeware. It would only be a first-timer, and I'm only going to sell stuff which is really, really, really, really good. Also, Jack, you are welcome, but no one else. 4 people is fine for any scenario, and I would rather just work with people I know/like.

I have Realmz 7.1.2 now. I upgraded from 7.0.4 yesterday. It isn't much different. Still hunting but now I have three scenarios. For some reason, Destroy the Necronomicon corrupts every time I download. Stupid .sit files. I've got Castle in the Clouds and Prelude to Petilence. I've registered prelude. I found the Ice Sword in CitC. It is sweet.
