Hello all. I hope this doesn't confuse anyone with Helix's current tourney but if I'm going to do this, I need to do some planning.

I'm having a hell of a time in and out of work lately so I'm trying to organise things long-range. It's looking like my best bet is going to be for the last weekend in June (27th-29th) and I'd like to make it so that it's not too inconvenient for the Western Hemisphere. In that spirit, I'd like to give everyone plenty of time to give their opinions on either of the following time ranges (ish):

2300GMT Friday 27th June: this is 0900 Saturday 28th for yours truly and actually not such a bad time (except for the inevitable hangover which I promise would be kept to a bare minimum for the event). I realise that Friday might well be your own night of socialisation and naughty shenanigans but I figure that the Americas would be in late afternoon/evening and Hawaii would be late morningish Saturday. Japan would be an hour behind here. If you're in Vladivostok however, suffer in yer undies.

1300GMT Sunday 29th June: that's 2300 Sunday here; just about my limit before I have to explain to my boss why I look like a pre-chewed abalone on Monday morning. Dead set middle of the arvo for Europe but a bit of an early riser for the US (and if you're like me and enjoy your Sunday morning sleep-in, you'll hate me for making this suggestion). Hope it's not too late/early for HoNu too...

These are really the only times I can work with (with a margin of one hour either side of those stated). Please tell me which (if any) you would be able to participate in. Otherwise, if neither time suits enough people, perhaps someone else would be willing to host a tourney when people can make it.

The provisional title of this tournament will be "Kaisama Inu" for no very good reason at all.

I could do the first one, and perhaps the second one if it were an hour earlier (though and hour and a half would be better... and I recognize that wish might not endear me to other north americans, particularly those west of me!)

i can´t promise that i could make the 11pm gmt version, but i would at least try. 1pm gmt on sunday sounds very good to me. there is of course always the possibility of "real life" interfering...

The 1pm version is much better for me as well, but obviously take the better players' preferred times over mine.

My plans have changed. So now it's for sure, that I'll be able to join the tourney if its going to happen on Sunday - no matter when exactly . If its not very early in the morning... Friday is not very convenient for me, not to say nearly impossible

Hello all. Sorry about my tardiness but juggling is an artform I apparently have no talent for. Thanks to everyone who replied.

From the looks of it, the Sunday game is the more achievable (which is no great surprise, I guess. ) Would 1200GMT rule anybody out? (US players would be most put out) It's just that I've got a pretty hectic working week starting the Monday after that and wouldn't mind getting just one extra hour of schnooze if I could.

I'll start an "official announcement" thread this evening and will use Hyko's tourney page for the sign ups, etc. (Viele danke, Hyko!) Cheers!
