      Help!

      Say I'm making new planet, mission, shipyard, etc. interface textures (modifying the pictures) for a certain TC done by JT. Is there a way to make the buttons blent into the texture? What I mean is, do I have to modify the outer square of metal around the buttons that is shown in the picture in the data files or is there an alpha channel to cut that out and just leave the pill shape of the button?

    • There's alpha channels for pretty much everything in EV Nova.

    • I think you'll the only alpha channels in Nova happen to be the ones for the button ends :). They're in Nova Graphics 3.

      BTW, the main menu stuff is loaded with alphas. Alphas for individual buttons, alphas for button animations, alphas for the text at the top...

    • Nope, they're all 1-bit masks. Only the button ends use proper alpha masks.

    • Jup I discovered that too... wondering why the heck the alpha channels were made so edgy... Until I loaded my custom buttons and saw that they were 1 bit masks 🙂 kinda silly really.
