I have a TC i will never finish.
It will of course be swarming with crons (like a steak left out on the sidewalk in summer swarms with flies). Capitol ships will have poor shields, but strong armor, while fighters will have paper thin armor but shields almost as strong as capitolships. Fireing any kinda weapon will either use ammo or fuel, and all ships would have one of a variety of reactor/power generators. Players will be able to turn off subsystems to save power. In it the player will get to choose between working for one of the three main humanish factions (ones not quite human), atleast one true alien race, they'll be lotsa small strings, you can turn to evil and work ones way up to become a pirate feared throughout allied space, crimelord, or even (possibly unwitting) terrorist. It will need to use an AzDC, but i cant make my AzDC work.
Of course, this will never happen, because it will never be done, nor will it ever have its own graphics.

Wow, that sounds amazingly simular to the TC i was thinking about making. Three main human factions (Federation, Union, Draconian, no aliens but that doesn't rule out wierd space phenomenon and advanced humans acting like them), capital ships with high armor to shield ratios and fighters with high shield to armor ratios, bombers, lots of things will either use or generate fuel or use ammo, strange human group dependent on raiding and an immense galaxy wide hypergate network (there will be a normal hypergate network), fast shield regeneration, almost no armor regeneration (you can get it later when tech develops), and a counter system so you will have ships you will fear and others you will laugh at (like in a RTS).
I really am inspired by the homeworld series (especially the designs and counter system in homeworld 2).
Over time however, I have been slowly lowering my expectations because of the immensity of such an undertaking. It is sure easy to think, I want to make a TC and draw out a bunch of sketches, but I realize how much time and energy it will take. So here's to the hope I will get it started and finished!
Also, as many people said before, many plugs with websites and teasers have failed. I think that you should do the website after you are done(to put as much energy into the TC or plug while you can), but I imagine it helps to get feedback and encouragement along the way. I guess moderation applies here too...
