One of the hated 'newbie' questions

I remember a long time ago, back way back when, I used to play EVC for hours and hours on end on my (hardly) trusty Performa 6116. My conquering of the universe was nothing to do with my own talent, but more to do with my good knowledge of ResEdit.

And know, as I return to EV after many years (about 7) of absence, I seem to have lost my 'gift'. I've forgotten how to give my self unlimited cash, shields and weapons.

Would some poor soul on this board kinfly help me out? I can double-click ResEdit, but that's about as far as I get. Which Nova file should I open, and after than what should I do next?

You should probably download one of the EVN editors, like mission computer for mac or EVNEW for PC. They are available in the links thread Stickied to the top of the Dev forum.

These programs are all well annotated, but referring to the bible is never a bad idea (though it is by no means perfect.) Figure out what you want to do from there, a good strat would probly be to download some other cheat somebody has made and figure out how it works, though if youve had experience this might be irrelevant.

Zacha Pedro (spelling?) also has some very excellent guides floating around, theyve probably been buried, but there are still links to them in the links section. I can't recall which rescources he has and hasnt done, but hes done several.

If you have a more specific question, I'll grant a more specific answer.

No problem for the spelling. And as for my guides being buried, remember I expect them actually to be put in actual websites. Plus, I think I will soon take over some place next to here to put them.
