How to get a straight line of Xichrons:

1.) Center your screen on the location you want your Xichron (bonus spider) placed.
2.) Select Bonus Spider
3.) Scroll down using the number pad
4.) Repeat steps 2-4

Oh scoff not, I had never really thought of doing that, my Xichron rows are pretty wavy.
